The burglary took place at a property in Harefield Road, Blackthorn, on Sunday between 2.10pm and 11.30pm.

Thieves broke into the house through a ground floor window and stole a laptop, mobile phone, gold Rolex watch and five World War Two medals that were in a polished wooden box. The medals belonged to the victim’s father and were of great sentimental value.
