A 17-year-old is being treated in hospital for a fractured leg after being knocked off his scooter in Northampton yesterday evening.
The crash happened at the junction of Billing Road and Barry Road in Northampton at 6.40pm, when the teenager, from Weston Favell, was involved in a collision with a blue Volkswagen Golf.
The scooter was travelling along Billing Road from the town centre towards Northampton School for Boys when it was in collision with the car, which was travelling in the opposite direction.
The Warwickshire & Northamptonshire air ambulance attended and the teenager was treated after suffering a fracture to his thigh bone.
The crew provided the teenager with pain relief as well as medication to reduce bleeding. They also splinted his right leg.
He was taken by helicopter to Walsgrave Hospital in Coventry. The driver of the car, a 23-year-old woman from Deanshanger, was uninjured.
