A teenager was taken to hospital with serious eye injuries after being hit in the face by a snowball in Northampton.

The 15-year-old was walking home along Welford Road, near Acre Lane, Kingsthorpe, when he was attacked on Monday, February 11, police have revealed today.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said: “The snowball hit him in the eye, causing serious damage which has required hospital treatment.”

Police believe four young men were involved in the attack. Three wore black tracksuits and one wore a grey tracksuit.

Anyone with information can call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
