Students from Daventry were involved in a scare this morning after their coach crashed on the way to school.

Pupils, believed to be from Danetre School, were said to be unhurt after the crash, which saw their coach “come off the road” on the A361, Badby Road West, in Daventry.

The crash happened at around 8.30am.

A police spokesman this morning said: “Police are in attendance at a road incident which was reported to us at approximately 8.30am today involving a school bus which had come off of the road.

“The incident occurred on the A361, Badby Road West. There are no injuries at this time.

“A section of the A361 is currently closed to allow recovery of the bus.”
