A retired Northamptonshire Police Constable has set up a website to “oppose and challenge” many of Police and Crime Commissioner Adam Simmond’s policies.

Justin Brown, who served with Northamptonshire Police for twenty years until he retired last June following a serious spinal injury, is describing himself as an “independent voice of opposition against Adam Simmonds.”

One of the criticisms detailed on his website www.justintelligence.net relates to the proposed sale of the police headquarters at Wootton Hall.

Another is that he backed out of a Chron-organised face-to-face meeting with his internet critics in December.

Mr Brown said: “I cannot stand idly by and allow Adam Simmonds disastrous agendas for our policing to go unchallenged.

“Adam Simmonds had the chance to meet his critics two months ago but failed to attend, instead he posted a video in which he stated he had ‘better things to do’

“We do have a crime panel which should scrutinise the PCC, yet with some exceptions, this doesn’t seem to be happening. I want my site to help harness public views on the PCC and the mistakes I believe he is making.

“Members of the public are permitted to attend the crime panel meetings and I intend to be present at the next one to ask the PCC my own

questions.”

The next crime panel meeting for Northamptonshire is scheduled for March 6 at 2pm at County Hall Northampton.
