A RECOVERING drug addict has been jailed after he admitted he attacked his mum and dad after waking during the night.
Aron Hill, aged 35, admitted causing actual bodily harm and wounding with intent to cause greivous bodily harm after he attacked his parents at their home in Bellinge, Northampton, on May 10 this year.
Northampton Crown Court heard Hill woke up in the night and told his parents: “I can’t sleep in that room, there have been ghosts in there.”
When they told him to sleep in the spare room he returned to his room but started banging and making noise.
After his mother got out of bed to talk to him, however, he punched her in the face, before he “started punching her repeatedly in the face.”
When his father tried to stop him Hall then attacked him.
The court was told he “wasn’t Aron” on the night “he was like the devil”.
Sentencing him to a total of 16 months in prison, Recorder John Pini QC said: “Two things are clear.
“The first is you have had problems with drugs for many, many, many years. The second is you have very loving parents.”
