Police searching for a 15-year-old boy from Northampton who has not been seen since Friday afternoon are becoming “increasingly concerned” for his welfare.

Emmerson Thompson, who turns 16 in a few weeks’ time, was reported missing at 2pm from his home in Stimpson Avenue, off Wellingborough Road.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.

“Emmerson, who often visits Abington Park, is white, about 5ft 5in, slim, with short hair.

“He was last seen wearing a blue jacket, blue jeans, black Converse boots and he was carrying a rucksack,” the spokesman said.

DI Ali Farr, who is leading the hunt to locate the teenager, added: “We are very concerned about Emmerson who has not been seen now for more than two days. We would urge any member of the public who has information about Emmerson’s wherebouts to contact police as soon as possible on 101.”
