Pedestrian left with broken leg after hit and run in Northampton

A 56-year-old man’s leg was broken in two places after he was involved in a collision with a car in Wellingborough Road, Northampton.

The man was crossing the road near Sainsbury’s on Wednesday, December 18, at about 7.45pm when he was hit by a car heading towards the town centre.

The victim was taken to hospital and needed an operation on his leg.

The vehicle, a dark green Ford Focus, failed to stop at the scene. Witnesses, or anyone with information, can contact Northamptonshire Police on 101. Alternatively, information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
