Northampton man who sexually assaulted woman given suspended prison sentence

A Northampton man has been given a suspended prison sentence after he pleaded guilty to charges of actual bodily harm and sexual assault of a woman.

Nathan Plentie, aged 29, of Bourne Crescent, Kings Heath, Northampton, appeared at Northampton Crown Court for sentencing on Monday.

His Honour Judge Rupert Mayo sentenced Plentie to nine months in prison, suspended for 18 months, for the sexual assault and six months in prison, suspended for 18 months, for causing actual bodily harm.

He must complete 80 hours of unpaid work and pay the victim surcharge of £100. Plentie will be placed on the sex offenders’ register for 10 years.
