Northampton man appears at court accused of attempted murder in Portland Place
A 50-year-old man has appeared at court charged with the attempted murder of a 63-year-old woman in Portland Place, Northampton.
Philip Green, of Portland Place, off Wellingborough Road, faced charges at Northampton Magistrates’ Court this morning of attempted murder and two charges of making threats to kill.
Green spoke only to confirm his name and address.
At the hearing, Prosecutor Sukhjit Singh outlined the case against the 50-year-old.
Green, who did not enter a plea today, was remanded in custody and will appear again at Northampton Crown Court on March 9.
