A nine-year-old boy suffered serious head, pelvis and leg injuries after he was involved in a collision with a car in Northamptonshire.
The accident happened in Willowbrook Road, Corby, at about 7.20pm on Friday, February 14. Police released the information on Monday
A police spokesman said: “For reasons unknown, he went on to the road and into the path of a black BMW.”
The boy was taken to Kettering General Hospital and was later transferred to Birmingham Children’s Hospital for treatment.
The spokesman said the driver of the BMW was treated for shock at the scene.
