A 68-year old woman who was reported missing has been found safe and well, Northamptonshire Police has confirmed.
The force issued an appeal this morning for help in finding Mavis Havart, who was believed to be missing in the Ecton Brook area of Northampton.
The police helicopter was deployed, and a loudspeaker was used to ask for residents to look for Mavis in their back gardens.
But at about 1pm, the force posted on Facebook to confirm she had been found.
They wrote: “Thank you everyone for your help. Mavis has now been found and is being well looked after.”
