Police are appealing for witnesses

Police are searching for two people who attacked a man outside a takeaway restaurant in Northampton.

The incident happened on Saturday, July 5, shortly before midnight, outside a takeaway restaurant, near to the junction with London Road.

A group of teenagers who were causing a nuisance were asked to leave the shop. About 10 minutes later, the victim went outside and was assaulted by a man who had pulled up outside the restaurant in a white box van. He was then hit again in the back of the head by a woman.

The man is described as about 5ft 11in, with a stocky, muscular build and short blonde hair. He was wearing a khaki coloured T-shirt. The woman is described as white and about 16-17-years old.

The van had a picture of large cat and the word ‘panther’ written on the side.

Witnesses, or anyone with any information, are asked to contact Northamptonshire Police on 101. Alternatively, information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
