Four people have been arrested by detectives investigating the murder of Jamie McMahon, police have confirmed.
Detectives arrested two men as part of the murder probe at the weekend.
A 38-year-old from Northampton was arrested on suspicion of murder on Saturday, while a 44-year-old from Northampton, was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods on Sunday.
Both men have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Northamptonshire Police has only confirmed the arrests today.
A further two men, aged 32 and 19, both from Northampton, were arrested last night on suspicion of murder and remain in custody, police have said.
A force spokesman said: “Officers are continuing to appeal for the public’s help as part of their investigation. They would like to speak to anyone who may have been in the area of St Giles Church, Northampton, between 2am and 3am on Wednesday, October 2.”
