A pervert exposed himself to a pensioner and her friend as they were walking along an old railway path in Daventry, police say.

The flasher struck close to Daventry Country Park, between 10.30am and 10.45am, on Wednesday, February 27.

A 69-year-old woman and her friend were walking in the direction of the country park, past the cemetery but before the wooden bridge, when a man walking from the direction of Ashby Fields walked past and exposed himself.

He was white man, aged about 25, with short dark hair and stubble and was wearing a short grey jacket with the hood down and blue jeans.

Police are hoping to speak to a woman who was walking a black Labrador at the time.
