A female motorist stopped by police in Northampton this morning was more than five times the legal drink drive limit.
She was breathalysed by police at about 11am in Bedford Road.
However, the breath sample she gave in custody was only twice the legal limit.
Writing on his Twitter feed, PC Dave Lee, from the roads policing unit, said: “A female drink driver has just been arrested for drink driving. She blew 193 at the roadside. Legal limit is 35. She was stopped on Bedford Road, Northampton.”
PC Lee later tweeted: “The drink driver blew twice the limit in custody.”
