Detectives have today released a short CCTV clip of murdered Jamie McMahon recorded on the night of his death.
The clip, which was previously released as a still image, shows Jamie walking up to the counter in Flames take-away, in York Road, and ordering some food.
It is the last known image of Jamie and was captured at 2.10am last Wednesday.
Shortly after buying his food Jamie is thought to have walked through St Giles churchyard on his way home, however, he never came emerged from the church grounds.
His body was found at 7.45am on Wednesday by a passer-by.
Jamie, aged 26, from Far Cotton, was at Coopers snooker hall earlier on in the night, then shortly after midnight he went to Bar So and to The Bantam, both in Abington Square, before visiting Flames.
He was discovered with head injuries and was missing a distinctive Paul Smith wallet.
Officers are still keen to speak with anyone who was in the area or has any information that could assist the investigation.
A police spokesman said: “Detectives are exploring the reason for the attack on Jamie and can’t rule out the possibility that he was robbed. His wallet remains missing and members of the public are being asked to look out for this.
“The wallet is a design from a few years ago, made of leather, with a swirl pattern which was faded. It has purple stitching on the inside of the wallet and the wording Paul Smith embossed on the bottom right hand corner of the wallet.”
