Cyclist pushed off BMX by man in a red hoodie during robbery in Northampton's Grafton Street

A man had his bike stolen by a man who pushed him off it during a street robbery in Northampton.

At about 8pm last night (Monday) the victim was approached from behind and pushed off his bike in Grafton Street.

The offender then picked up the black BMX and rode off down Spencer Bridge Road.

The offender is described as white, about 30-years-old, 6ft with a slim build. He was wearing a red hooded top and a black coat.

The bike was a black BMX with bright green handle grips. There was no brake cable to the left brake.

Witnesses, or anyone with information about the stolen bike, are asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101. Alternatively, they can call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
