A reward of up to £3,000 is being offered by Crimestoppers for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for three robberies in Northampton town centre.

The first robbery was at a branch of Santander in Mercers Row, Northampton, on December 30 when the offender entered the bank with a knife and jumped over the counter threatening staff before stealing cash.

The second offence was on January 10 at Hatton Gold jewellers in St Peters Walk when the robber again threatened staff with a knife and stole cash.

The last offence was at Thomas Cook in Abington Street on January 22 when the robber gain used a knife to threaten staff before stealing cash.

The robber is described as white male with fair hair, blue eyes, slim build 5ft 6ins and around 20-30yrs.

It is also thought that the suspect may have a light Newcastle accent and has been seen with another male who is white with dark hair. Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to £3,000 for information passed to the charity’s 0800 555 111 number that leads to an arrest and prosecution of the person responsible for this crime.

Crimestoppers’ East Midlands Regional Manager, Kiran Dhanda, said: “We would urge anyone with information to contact Crimestoppers anonymously.

“These robberies are becoming increasingly violent which makes identifying the perpetrator of these crimes all the more urgent.”
