Police have issued a warning about the dangers of falling victim to burglars, robbers and car criminals ahead of the clocks going back this weekend.
Officers have revealed how the force sees a seasonal high in the number of burglaries, robberies and vehicle crimes during the longer winter nights.
With the clocks going back this weekend, Northamptonshire Police will be taking to social networking site Twitter in a bid to stop people falling victim to criminals.
On Monday, between 2pm and 9pm, the force will be tweeting information about burglary, robbery and vehicle crime as it happens, together with crime prevention advice.
The force will use the hashtag #darkernights during the session.
