A drug dealer who was rumbled when a police dog sniffed out cocaine and heroin in his car in Northamptonshire has been jailed for five years.
Christopher Rowe, aged 29, of Thornton Heath, Surrey, was sentenced for possession with intent to supply cocaine and heroin at Northampton Crown Court yesterday.
He was stopped by police when travelling on the A43, Lumbertubs Way, on May 7 this year. His car was then searched and a police dog found the drugs hidden inside.
DC Cathy O’Connor said: “I’m very pleased with this result.
“Rowe denied his involvement with drug supply throughout the investigation but was found guilty by jury.
“The message is clear: this is a hostile county in which to deal drugs; we will not tolerate them being brought into our communities.”
