Child rapist’s jail term is extended

Jason Radford

Jason Radford

A child rapist had sex with another under-age girl while on bail for his first crime, a court was told.

Jason Radford invited the 15-year-old to his flat for sex just a few months after his arrest for raping another 15-year-old at a party, an offence he has since been convicted of.

Radford, who was sentenced to seven years for rape last July, had a further 18 months added to his prison term at Northampton Crown Court last Friday.

The 30-year-old, of Bonham Court, Kettering, admitted two counts of sexual activity with a child.

The matter came to light when the victim went to the doctors, as she feared she may have been pregnant. The clinic reported it to the police and Radford was arrested again in April 2011.

Radford will be on the Sex Offenders’ Register for life.
