Car hits woman after failing to stop at pedestrian crossing in Northamptonshire

A pedestrian was seriously injured in Elizabeth Street, Corby yesterday (Thursday) at about 5.45pm.

The 48-year-old woman was using the zebra crossing when, for reasons yet unknown, a silver Chevrolet Kalos failed to stop and collided with her.

The woman was airlifted to University Hospital Coventry for treatment to her injuries.
