A cannabis factory containing 140 plants has been uncovered after Northamptonshire Police carried out a number of search warrants across the county.
Warrants under the Misuse of Drugs Act and Theft act were executed at properties in Northampton, Wellingborough, Bozeat and Rushden on Wednesday, March 5.
A warrant in Bozeat resulted in the discovery of a cannabis factory and approximately 140 cannabis plants were seized. A 28-year-old man was arrested and charged with drugs offences.
Following another warrant in Kiln Way, Wellingborough, a 35-year-old woman was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis.
Three Theft Act warrants were also carried out, two in Rushden and one in Northampton.
Chief Inspector Chris Hillary said: “We have carried out a number of successful warrants over the past few days and we’re determined to keep up the pressure on those committing crime in our county.
“As well as continued enforcement activity, we’ve also been working with staff from partner organisations, including Trading Standards, Wellingborough Homes and the East Northants Council licensing team, visiting licensed premises and second hand dealers across the area.”
