A burglar who preyed on elderly victims has been jailed for five years at Northampton Crown Court.
Jegoras Zaderkas, aged 32, formerly of Northfield Road, Peterborough, was sentenced last week at Northampton Crown Court for burglary.
He was found guilty of burgling a home in Freehold Street, in the town centre, in February 2011, for which he was given a five-year sentence.
He was also convicted of two further counts of burglary at addresses in Monarch Road and Balfour Road, in January 2011, for which he received two 12 month sentences, to run concurrently.
Detective Sergeant Scott McKenzie said: “Zaderkas was arrested earlier this year for other offences and forensic evidence linked him to the three burglaries committed in Northampton in 2011. We are pleased with the sentence given and hope that it will serve as a deterrent.”
