BREAKING NEWS: Teenage pupil detained after threatening messages posted on social networking sites

A TEENAGE pupil at Campion School in Bugbrooke has been detained under the Mental Health Act after threatening messages were posted on social networking sites.

Police revealed today that a 15-year-old boy, a Year 11 student at Campion School, was arrested on Sunday afternoon.

A spokesman said: “He was arrested following disclosures of a threatening nature which were conveyed via a variety of social networking media.

“The boy has been released on police bail pending further enquiries and is currently detained under the Mental Health Act outside of Northamptonshire. He poses no threat to Campion School and will not be returning to the school.

“On no occasion has there been any incident within the school that has been related to the arrest.

“The school will be liaising closely with the police and other services.”

Officers from the Safer Community Team have visited the school and anyone with concerns about this incident can speak to the Towcester SCT on 101.

This definitely seems like a cry for help, poor boy. I hope he gets the right treatment where he has gone under the MHA.

vokey...the boy was detained under the Mental Health Act. This (and the fact that he is a minor), probably means that the information released to the public, will be limited.

I knew him quite a bit, he was a nice person to talk to, very quiet and funny. He started just getting lonelier and just sat on a bench thinking. Such a shame to see this happen to him.

This is a young boys cry for help.. Imagine yourself in his place for just one day! My thoughts are for his family trying to deal with the aftermath.
