Pupils from Barry Road Primary school in Northampton visited Northampton General Hospital to present a cheque for £154 which was raised from a heart-shaped 2p trail in the school.

The hospital will be using the money to pay for a special chair for doctors to sit on while performing heart scans on children.

Rosie Jamieson, of Friends of Barry Road Primary school said the heart theme had been “carried through the whole project successfully”.
