Students at The Duston School have achieved the highest average point score per entry in the school’s history.
The A2 results showed an increase of almost 60 UCAS points on last year’s performance.
Particularly outstanding Year 13 students included Ruby Ramsden who gained A*, A, and a B and Jack Kushnirick and Mitchell Bliss who both achieved Double Distinction Stars in their ICT, the highest qualification attainable.
There were also some outstanding achievements in modern foreign languages. Daniel Hlouverakis achieved a B grade at A Level Greek despite only being in Year 10. There was double success for the Dukats twins in Year 11 who both achieved an A at A Level Russian.
Jane Herriman, Principal of The Duston School, said: “It was fantastic to see so many of our young people celebrating their achievements this morning and we wish all our students every success in the future whatever they choose to go on to do. We continue to work relentlessly to ensure that standards at Post 16 rise.”
