Travis Perkins colleagues have raised more than £6,000 for Billing Brook School in Northampton, which caters for pupils with a wide range of learning difficulties, by cycling 101 miles across five counties in one day - in what they termed ‘Le Tour de Finance’.

The staff were motivated to take on the challenge, which took them on a tour of offices in Watford, Brackmills, Northampton, Crick and Leicester, by Travis Perkins staff member Daniel Clarke from Daventry, whose nephew attends the school. Daniel said: “I can personally vouch that the great work of the school really makes a difference to his quality of life. Thank you to all the cyclists, drivers of the support vehicles, the people who helped organise the ride and everyone who has donated to the charity.”

The funds raised will be used to buy equipment for the pupils.
