Students who have already received their vocational results and are looking for a uni place can apply to the University of Northampton now.

It means people who have received their BTEC results, plus potential mature students, can secure their place on a full-time undergraduate course for September.

Head of Admissions Antony Bounds said: “Clearing is traditionally associated with mid-August’s A-level results day, when thousands who are without an offer of a degree course have the chance to find a university place for the new academic year.

“But, by launching clearing earlier, we are helping those who already have their results – and potential mature students – to beat the rush and secure their place.”

Leanne Town successfully applied for a degree course at the University through Clearing in 2010 as a mature student.

After graduating with a first-class honours degree in Web Design and Marketing in 2013, Leanne then completed a master’s degree at the University.

She is now celebrating a year in the job with Overstone-based digital marketing agency, Star Digital.

Leanne said “Clearing was such a straightforward process and I received so much advice.

“The staff were extremely helpful and ensured everything worked out smoothly – I knew I could rely on them to guide me through every step.

“I don’t remember being stressed at all, either. I think the whole process was quite simple. If you apply for Clearing, just make sure you start the process as soon as possible.”

Anyone who already has their results - or is a potential mature student - and would like to apply for a full-time undergraduate course at the University of Northampton, complete the online enquiry here or call Northampton 214 808.
