They wanted to say thank you to Birmingham Children’s Hospital which cared for their daughter Erin.

When Erin was four weeks old she was admitted to the hospital where it was discovered she had suffered two strokes.

BCH pulled her back from the brink and Erin’s parents wanted to do something as a ‘thank-you’.

The family organised and held a the auction which was attended by more than 400 people and raised a staggering £16,643.

Every penny is going to Birmingham Childrens Hospital. Sarah and Duncan Evans at the Saracens Head hosted the event and provided a hog roast entirely for free. NEM Plant Ltd - a local Civil Engineering Company – covered the cost of the marquee for the event. And a whole range of items were promised by local people and firms for the auction.
