Police investigating a robbery at Weston Favell Shopping Centre have relased an image of a man they want to speak in connection with the incident.
Details of the robbery, which happened at 10.30am on Tuesday September 29, were released today.
A police spokesman said the victim, a 68-year-old woman, was walking down the sloped path towards the bus stop area, when a man grabbed her handbag, causing her to fall. The offender ran off with the bag towards Lings Leisure Centre.
He is described white, with a skinny build, and in his 20s to 30s. He had a gaunt-looking face and dark stubble, and was wearing a grey hooded top, blue jeans and black trainers with a white sole.
Witnesses to the incident, or anyone who recognises the man pictured, are asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101.
Alternatively, they can call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or use the anonymous online form at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
Officers are also investigating two further bag-snatch incidents that happened in the centre on Thursday, September 17 at about 1pm and Sunday, September 27, at about 11.45am.
