Police are concerned for the welfare of a man who left with serious injuries after being attacked by three men in Gold Street, Northampton.

The victim was seriously assaulted at the top of Gold Street close to the College Street junction just after 3am on Sunday, August 23, police revealed today.

He was attacked by three men during the incident. Two men were arrested at the scene and are currently on bail pending further enquiries.

But police are hunting for an alleged third attacker (pictured) who is described as a black or Asian man in his late-teens to early 20s. He is about 5ft 10in tall with a medium build and short black hair. He was wearing dark-blue jeans, a dark-coloured long-sleeved top and black trainers.

The victim left the scene and officers are concerned that he may be seriously injured. He is described as a white man with short-black hair and a medium build. He was wearing black jeans, a light coloured top under a jacket which had black fabric across the shoulders. Police would like him to come forward so that his welfare can be checked.

Police would also like to speak to witnesses, particularly a man who came to the victim’s aid. He is described as white and was wearing black jeans, brown or red trainers and a black jacket.

There was also a man and woman who helped the victim; the woman had long-black hair and was wearing black jeans, black shoes and a pink or peach top. The man had a black T-shirt, light-coloured jeans and white trainers.
