Elite police officers arrive outside the Bataclan theatre in Paris on Friday night

A vigil will be held at a Northampton church in the wake of the Paris terrorist attacks.

The event will be at 6.30pm at All Saints Church to remember all victims of terrorism and has been organised by Community Court Yard.

Bianca Todd, the founder of Community Court Yard said: “We stand in solidarity with the people of France

“Our thoughts are with the victims and their loved ones.”

Meanwhile, Kingsthorpe College has cancelled its school trip to the National Portrait Gallery in London, which was scheduled for Monday, because of safety fears raised by the Paris attacks.

A tweet from the school said: “As a result of the tragic events in Paris the KS4 Art trip to London on Monday has been cancelled due to heightened security in London.”
