Kier Construction has reportedly won the contract to build the Innovation Cube in Northampton.
Construction Enquirer says the firm bid £7.3 million for the job. It will be built opposite the town’s railway station, on the site of the former United Social Club, which was demolished in 2010.
The building is designed as a home for small businesses, including ones created as a result of research and development at The University of Northampton.
The university is delivering the project in partnership with West Northamptonshire Development Corporation.
The scheme was backed unanimously by councillors on Northampton Borough Council’s planning committee in January last year.
