BREAKING NEWS: Several trees felled by Storm Doris on major Northampton roads

Roads in several areas of Northampton are congested because of falling trees, caused by strong winds

Bridge Street is partially blocked, causing heavy traffic, due to a fallen tree at the junction with Navigation Row.

Bedford Road near Northampton General Hospital is also partially blocked after a tree within the grounds of Beckets fell, damaging a wall. Traffic is building up along Victoria Promenade as a result.

A tree is reportedly down in Abington Street near the HSBC bank.

And another reportedly hit a car after falling near the Park Avenue South junction with Rushmere Road.

Other roads affected in the county include Welford Road, Creaton, which is now blocked.
