BREAKING NEWS: Northampton's lift tower will be lit up with 3D projections in 'spectacular' tourism launch
A major marketing drive aimed at enticing more people to the county's landmarks over spring and summer gets underway from 7.30pm tonight.
The National Lift Tower in St James will be lit up with what organisers are calling "spectacular" 3D projections of Northamptonshire's visitor attractions such as Boughton House and Althorp, while a fireworks display will be visible from around the county town.

Hide AdThe campaign, called "Northamptonsh!re. Britain’s Best Surpr!se", has been devised by James Lowther, who was once the creative director of advertising giants Saatchi & Saatchi, alongside a number or key county organisations.
Lord-Lieutenant of Northamptonshire David Laing, said: “A year ago a working party of deputy lieutenants, Lord Spencer, James Lowther and James Miller started to consider what the county had to offer the visitor and were astonished at what was available.
"The different elements have since come together and today, the resulting campaign showcases brilliantly all that this historic county has to offer."
The campaign also features advertisements on the London Underground, while there are also a number of other planned "stunts"planned later in the summer.

Hide AdA short film has been produced for the campaign's recently launched website, which features an events diary and information about Northamptonshire's heritage.
As well as its famous landmark's the campaign aims to promote the area's countryside, businesses, cuisine and its connection to the motorsport world.
