Police officers have confirmed that the discovery of a body in Wellingborough this morning is not being treated as suspicious.
The body was discovered by a member of the public at about 6.10am this morning at the wooden bridge over Harrowden Road.
The bridge and footpaths leading to it from Harrowden Road and Varley Close have now reopened and officers have finished their investigations.
Officers were initially treating the death as unexplained but this lunchtime they said they were satisfied there were no suspicious circumstances.
They will now prepare a report for HM Coroner.
