Thieves used a set of yellow bolt cutters to steal a bike from a set of cycle racks outside TKMaxx in Northampton.

The bicycle was locked up by the clothes store on Commercial Street and was stolen between 4.30pm and 5pm on Tuesday, September 8, according to police.

Witnesses saw two men with a silver bike use yellow bolt croppers to cut the lock off the bike.

They made off in the direction of the Carlsberg factory with one of them on the stolen bike, which was a white Coventry Eagle Outback (pictured).

A police spokesperson said the offenders were white and are believed to be in their early twenties.

One was around 5ft 10 inches tall with light-brown hair, wearing dark-grey joggers, a dark hooded top and a black duffle bag.

The other was around 5ft 8 inches tall with dark-brown hair. He was wearing black tracksuit bottoms, a navy jacket and a black baseball cap.
