A Northampton man claims that he has witnessed two people almost struck down by oncoming traffic because a crashed car has been left to obstruct a pavement.

The accident happened at about 2pm on Wednesday, February 22 in Abington Grove when a driver hit a lamppost and ended up in the middle of the road.

A witness told the Chron that the vehicle could be a danger if it's not moved.

He said: "A woman veered into a lamppost and bounced off it, the car was in the road. She walkef across the road and collapsed in shock."

The vehicle has now been left blocking the footpath at the exit of a busy roundabout forcing pedestrians into oncoming traffic.

"I have made three lengthy calls to 101 to have this vehicle removed.I think this needs urgent attention before someone is injured."
