A grades aplenty at Northampton School for Boys
Headmaster Richard Bernard, also said there had been “record breaking” results in the school’s year 12 AS grades.
In year 13, 20 students achieved an A or A* grade average over at least three subjects.

Hide AdAssistant head and sixth form director Deirdre Kennedy, said: “Once again our extensive advice and guidance programme is paying dividends.
“Over 135 Year 13 students received university offers – over 50 per cent of which to the very best ‘Russell Group’ universities including
Oxbridge - and all but a handful have been accepted at their university of choice.
“Those who just missed by a grade or two are now in ‘clearing’ and will get a place in the coming days.

Mr Bernard added many pupils had also gained accolades outside of the exam hall by gaining “national acclaim” in music, dance, drama and sport.
“Overall the Year 13 cohort embraced what the school had to offer and I wish all of our leavers the very best of luck in their future,” he added.
Stand out Year 13 performers included Mubarek Osman and Emma Walker, who got three A* grades.
Zoe Allen took home two A* and two A grades and will go to the University of Cambridge to study maths.
