A campaign asking the Government to help children's sports clubs raise more money is being backed by Northampton North MP Sally Keeble.
She has sent questionnaires to sports clubs in her constituency, to find out about Government plans to extend Gift Aid – which provides charities with tax relief – to children's sports clubs.

Mrs Keeble, who has already met Treasury officials to discuss the issue, which is being backed by the Central Council for Physical Recreation, said: "It would mean for every £1 a child raises, the club would be able to claim back 25p from the Government."

Copies of the questionnaire are available from the MP's office.
