Lessons were given a Polish makeover at Northampton's Stimpson Avenue Primary School during a themed fortnight on the country.
Among the activities organised for children were dancing, learning nursery rhymes, cooking food and researching artists from Poland.

The fortnight culminated in children wearing red and white clothing to highlight the colours of the national flag.

Modern foreign languages teacher Lesley Perry said: "The school has 21 children from Poland as well as a Polish teaching assistant.

We thought this would be a wonderful way for them to celebrate their cultural identity by looking at their country and asking them to talk about their home life."
