Police are appealing for information after a collision involving a motorcycle rider in Northampton.
The biker came off his black Suzuki SV650 bike at around 6.30pm at the Tesco roundabout at Mereway on Thursday August 28.

He suffered a series of minor injuries requiring hospital treatment.

A police vehicle was responding to an emergency call at the time and was travelling around the roundabout, but was not in collision with the motorcycle.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have any information about it. Call 08453 700 700 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

I wish the police would respond to all incidents involving motorcycles in such a manner, particularly where the rider suffered 'a series of minor injuries'. Just trying to get them out of their office and look at a problem that it a serious danger to all road users (traffic light jumpers on the Bedford Road roundabout) is impossible so I wonder what prompted this appeal.........
