Work on the new British Grand Prix circuit at the venue, which includes a new track layout and improved spectator facilities, remains on schedule to be finished by the end of this month.
The new circuit will host a number of world class events thi
s year, including the Formula One British Grand Prix from July 9 to 11, the British round of the MotoGP championships from June 18 to 20, and World Superbike motorcycle racing from July 31 to August 1.
The first major international event to test the new circuit will be the Silverstone Supercars, featuring the FIA GT1 World Championship, from May 1 to 2.
Richard Phillips, managing director of Silverstone Circuits, said: "Work on the circuit and venue is on schedule. The team has been working around the clock, through some pretty terrible weather conditions.
"The track works at Brooklands and Woodcote are now complete, while the major new development - the section of circuit from Abbey up to the Arena Complex and round to the National Straight - is also coming along nicely."
And he added: "There is still a considerable amount of work going on, including the new elevated banks and spectator viewing areas. Conference and hospitality buildings are also being built on the new Stowe Complex."
