A teenager from Northamptonshire has won a year's modelling contract with a national newspaper after she was crowned Page 3 Idol 2009.
Kelly Hall, aged 19, of Daventry, was presented with a cheque for £5,000 and will be jetting off to Majorca on Thursday for her first photoshoot with The Sun after she beat off competition from thousands of other aspiring models.
The former William Parker School pupil found out she had won the contest last Friday – her 19th birthday – and spent the day phoning family and friends to give them the exciting news.
Kelly told The Sun, said: "They probably all went deaf in one ear from me screaming down the phone at them. It's a dream come true and I want it to last as long as possible.
"I can't believe I've won it. It really hasn't sunk in yet. I have to pinch myself to check it's real. It's the best present ever. I'm in shock but winning Page 3 Idol is the icing on my cake.
"I've always wanted to be a Page 3 girl and now I'm on an absolute high."
Her cousin, Megan Nugent, who was on holiday with Kelly when she found out she was through to the final 20, said: "There were something like 3,000 girls who entered the competition and she won. I am so proud of her.
"She found out on her birthday so it was a great birthday present. She has got a few modelling shoots lined up already."
Curvy Kelly, a beauty therapist, had not done any modelling before entering the Page 3 Tour when it stopped at the Lava & Ignite nightclub in Northampton in April.
The size 30F teenager said she was planning to use her position at Page 3 to help good causes and would love to go out to Afghanistan to entertain the soldiers.
She is the eighth winner of the annual contest and will be following in the footsteps of her idol, Keeley Hazell.
