A teenage beautician from Northampton has been picked to front a new bra campaign – with a difference.
Sophie Harris – who was Miss Northampton 2007 and a finalist in Miss England – has beaten thousands of hopefuls to win a contract to model a new range of bras for small-busted women.

The 17-year-old, who is a petite 32a, was selected to represent the latest range from London-based AA Lingerie and her image will now be used across the world.

Miss Harris, who works at the Pink Ladies salon in Daventry, said: "I went for a casting and the company liked me so they did some shots. I'm delighted to be picked.

"Usually, bra ads are aimed at women with big boobs or who have had plastic surgery. I'm delighted to be leading from the front for small busted women."

Miss Harris said she had no intention of having surgery even though there was a lot of pressure on young girls to go under the knife.

Retha Queenan, owner of AA Lingerie, said Miss Harris was ideal for her latest campaign which will feature the Northampton beauty on the company's website and in advertising.

She said: "Sophie has a great smile and her personality comes through in pictures.

"She is a great role model for other small-busted women and girls. She is proud of how she looks and who she is and those were the qualities we were looking for."

17 years old she looks great, why is she called a woman, and yet at other times a 17 year old is always called a child.

All the best to her. Nice to see the lingerie company have kept abreast of the strapping women in this area to bust into this kind of work.

Northampton supports you all the way.

Sophie you look lovely, you remind me of my daughter at the age of 17, I was always very proud of her as she grew up and she has grown to a beautiful cleaver young lady now. All the best to you.
