The mother of missing 15-year-old Melissa Mac has appealed for her daughter to make contact.
Melissa went missing from Northampton town centre on Friday, February 15, and police hope one of her friends may know where she is.

Thao Mac said: "We want her to get in touch with us and let us know she is okay."

She has not been seen or heard from since she went missing. Police believe Melissa has gone missing on her own terms but are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare and want to establish she is safe and well.

Officers want her to come forward and let either the police or her family know she is okay.

Melissa is of Chinese/Vietnamese origin and is about 5ft 4in with straight black hair.

It emerged last week that Melissa had not attended Northampton Academy, where she is a pupil, since July.

Melissa, or anyone who knows of her whereabouts, can call Northamptonshire Police on 08453 700700.
