A man was shoved into the back of a van and robbed after being approached to buy goods for sale in Northamptonshire.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the robbery in Towcester on Tuesday between 7.30pm and 8pm in the Richmond Road Car Park.

The victim was approached by a man who said he had some cheap goods for sale in the back of his van, and, with some persuasion, went over to take a look.

He was then confronted by three more offenders.

The man was pushed into the van with some force and was made to hand over a considerable sum of cash. Offenders then placed a blanket over his head and pushed him into a wheelie bin.

Police have a description of the main offender. He is described as white, in his early 20s, of medium build with short blond hair.

He has a Scottish accent and was wearing a green jacket at the time of the offence.

Witnesses, or anyone with information, can call Northamptonshire Police on 03000 111 222 - alternatively, information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
