THE new eco-friendly UK headquarters of Avon, in Nunn Mills Road, Northampton, has been opened by the cosmetic giant's chief executive, Andrea Jung.
Ms Jung, who was recently ranked number two in the Financial Times’ top 50 women in world business, performed the ceremony on Friday.

The building, which sits side-by-side with the old 1970s HQ, opposite Becket’s Park, is officially the greenest building in Avon’s property portfolio, which spans over 100 countries.

It boasts a host of energy saving and environmentally friendly features and employees voted on their furniture options, resulting in desks made from 100 per cent recyclable materials. Other features of the building include kitchen worktops made from recycled yogurt pots, carpets from recycled materials and entrance mats made from recycled tyres and fan belts.
